Poly B™ Pipe Replacement – Case Study #49

Scott called us to come and take a look at his house on Sirocco Drive in Calgary to replace the polybutylene, we investigated the property on Friday December 1st and literally started the Poly B™ replacement on today December 3rd, sometimes at urban piping we are able to fit into the schedule demands of our customers, all you have to do is ask. Scott had a wonderful bi-level home in the community of signal hill, being a bi-level is very interesting for Poly B™ re-piping as the structure actually has a dead space incorporated into the house between the basement and the upstairs, instead of being only a 1 ft gap where the joyces are, they actually drop the ceiling with a series of 2x4s in certain areas to incorporate designed and weight distribution.

This all being said leads us to the fun part, because of the gaping in the houses we can actually fit a plumber into this cavity and replace some of the piping without having to take out major amounts of ceiling. In this instance we sent our Calgary plumbing expert Jordan Shingoose into the cavity, all 6’4” of him.

The total pipe replacement took a total of 1.5 days and about 36 man hours to complete, after that we had our talented drywall crew member Samantha into the house and let her loose. she had the whole house patched and cleaned by December 13th and Scott and his family were able to celebrate Christmas in their house.
