Poly B™ Pipe Replacement – Case Study #48
Scandic Hill poly b replacement in the community of scenic acres, was one for the books. This house sat at approximately 2400sq feet, and is a pretty typical poly b replacement job, with the one exception that the home owner Gene its extremely organized and has incredible attention to detail. Gene had worked in major construction for her whole career so she might have known exactly how we were going to do what we did probably even before we did.
Genes house was your typical two story house, double attached garage, main floor laundry and half bathroom, upstairs we had a main bathroom that consists of one sink, a tub/shower combo, and a toilet. Her master bathroom was recently renovated and they had a single sink were there was 2 before and a new custom tiled shower and a lovely huge soaker tub. The basement was finished and had a full bathroom with stand up shower. We also found that her outside irrigation line had been run in the dreaded poly b piping as well so we took the liberty of replacing all that polybutylene as well.
Gene had also asked that our plumbers while they were re-mediating her house, if they could also install a garburator for her, we were happy to oblige, and gave her a special price as we already were on site. All and all we cut about 23 holes in they drywall and used 843ft of new Class A PEX piping, and took a total of 9 business days to complete.
